About Me

My name is Mary Jones, and I am a quilter, fiber enthusiast, writer, and creator. I live in rural Missouri with my husband and little dog, Pearly. I recently retired from teaching, and now I spend my time quilting, creating, biking, kayaking, and learning new things. I have 23 years of experience in the English classroom and 24 years of experience in quilting. I long arm quilt for local quilters on a Handi Quilter Amara 20 with Pro-Stitcher. I can provide custom and edge-to-edge designs for all of your quilting needs. Teaching is a passion of which I cannot let go. Be sure to check out my availability for teaching piecing techniques in your area or mine. I also design and publish my own patterns and can help you test and edit yours. I am very excited about this new adventure and look forward to providing my content for you!

Training
I have taken classes with Angela Walters, Adam Rateliff and Micki Chappelear more than once, and I have attended Handi Quilter Academy as well. Monthly, I participate in a club designed to help quilters learn more and more about their craft at All N Stitches in New Florence, Missouri.
Adam and Micki are Handi Quilter educators who teach in tandem at Appletree Quilting Center in Columbia, Missouri, occasionally. I hear Adam is branching out on his own soon, but I sure hope he comes back to Columbia often and brings Micki with him. She brings a great deal of knowledge to the classes she teaches.
Angela Walters is a well known long arm quilter who owns Quilting is My Therapy in Liberty, Missouri. I have attended two of her long arm events and one of her retreats as a means of honing my skills.
