Double Wedding Ring Update--Tilda Obsessed

So, I realized that I haven't updated you on my DWR progress like I promised. Remember that this is my first attempt at making one, and I opted to use Judy Niemeyer papers, her suggestions, and my own stubbornness to make my very scrappy version. I also chose to work with my Tilda collection. My goodness, I love Tilda fabrics. EVERY SINGLE ONE! Three of my favorite places to buy Tilda in Missouri are Sew Creative, St. Ann's Country Outpost , and Appletree Quilting Center. (Quilters, I promise you these are wonderful stores if you have never been. Missouri truly is a Mecca of wonderful quilt stores. We have some of the nations finest!) But I digress.....

I decided to start working on the "B" units to my rings. I have a few together and am very please with the outcome. I also chose to use a minty green for the little end pieces that complete the shape. One thing that I have learned in the last few years is that folding my foundation papers on the seam lines before I start a unit really helps me line my fabrics up and get things all fussied up. I think things are looking pretty good. I am excited to have this project in the works for my ongoing winter sewing!

OHHH! I purchased a few new pieces to add a little more variety to my prized Tilda collection. Aren't they just so pretty?!

I hope you get some time to work on a long term project this week!

Happy Stitching

Mary
